Request for Donations to Traveling Trunk Program at New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Foundation
Greetings:
As some of you know we are developing a new education program targeted at new schools to encourage them to book school tours here. The program is called the Traveling Trunks. The first trunk will actually be a soldier's footlocker and will contain objects that teachers can teach with about the Vietnam War and the soldier's experiences. Some of the themes that will be covered include communication, daily life, homecoming, support to troops etc. We have a list of objects that we would like to include in the trunk and/or reproduce. If you have any of these objects or know someone who does please call or email me. I just ask if you could please talk with me about the object prior to bringing it here. Please note most objects, unless they can be scanned or reproduced, will be a permanent gift to the Foundation because they will be handled by the students and be subject to wear and tear.
Here are a
few of the objects we are looking for:

| Cameras | Compass |
| Canteen | Uniforms |
| Gas mask bag | Holiday pictures from Vietnam |
| Patches from uniforms | Any audio or recordings from Vietnam |
| Aviator wings | POW bracelets |
| Grease pencil | Draft card |
| Ration card | Enlisting papers |
| P-38 | A footlocker |

there other items you think will be important to include please let me know. I
